Paul Cook, Director of Development at Community Health Partnership, Inc. was recently appointed to serve a three-year term with the Wisconsin Council on Long-Term Care. His appointment was made by Kevin Hayden, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. Cook joins 16 other council members from various regions of Wisconsin who represent key long-term care stakeholders.
Created by Secretary Hayden in March of 2008, the Council’s mission is to advise the Department of Health and Family Services on the implementation of statewide reforms of long-term care for elderly people and adults with disabilities. Specifically, the council will oversee the expansion of Wisconsin’s Family Care managed care organizations (MCOs) and Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs). The group will also focus on system design and quality issues as well as oversee the development of Regional Long-Term Care Advisory Committees.
